Testimonials
Avery’s passion for indie filmmaking and her collaborative spirit shone through her work on the marketing campaign for Draft Night.
She helped craft its unique brand identity, encompassing everything from the visual style to the tone of voice used in promotional materials. The result was a cohesive and impactful campaign that truly captured the essence of the film. Her dedication, creativity, and strategic thinking were instrumental in the project’s success.

Marketers like Avery don’t seem to exist nearly as much as they should.
She works in this crossroads of filmmaking, graphic design, and publicity that independent films so desperately need. She understands and appreciates the core of every project she takes on, so when she comes to you with a design or suggestion, it’s because she knows it best represents your message.
I won’t list every headache that Avery has saved me from experiencing, so I’ll just say I’m grateful for the energy and time I’m able to dedicate back to filmmaking. When I’m putting together a pitch deck for the next movie, Avery is my first email.

I wholeheartedly recommend Avery to anyone seeking a designer who is immensely skilled and genuinely committed to client satisfaction.
I had the pleasure of having Avery do the brand design and web design for my startup, Astra. When I initially approached Avery, the company was nothing more than a couple slides on a PowerPoint presentation.
Avery was receptive to feedback and happy to iterate until we arrived at our final design. Her creative talent and intuitive understanding of my vision felt, at times, like she could read my mind. Her prompt communication and professionalism were outstanding, and she delivered exceptional results while working with our tight timeline and staying within our budget. At the end, she walked us through her design process, in order to make the hand-off as easy as possible.

Avery is bright, diligent, and unflappable.
The cannabis industry provides fairly unique challenges when it comes to marketing, and Avery greets them all with a level-headed logic that many people with more years of professional experience than she has lack. She has a keen eye for detail; is a fantastic communicator and collaborator; and is curious and eager to understand more about consumers because she’s interested in people—she understands that this is the heart of storytelling.
It was my pleasure to see Avery grow in her role at Sava with continually increased responsibilities. Her kindness, fairness, and joy have weathered many a last-minute content swap and website functionality test. Avery’s poise and character make her an exceptional coworker, and I’m excited to see what she does with her career.

Avery is my number one call for any project with marketing needs.
Not only does she have a wealth of knowledge for marketing strategy, branding, and design, she also has a background in filmmaking as a producer. It is invaluable working with someone who understands how each world operates.
Avery did not simply market “The Phoenix”; she created an entire world for it. She crafted the film’s brand from color to fonts to the tone of our copywriting. She legitimized our presence, which was imperative in raising funds and ensuring a successful festival run.
Avery elevates each project she works on and is extremely organized, prepared, detailed, and a genuine pleasure to work with.

Avery is truly a joy to work with and I can’t recommend her enough.
She started working for my company, Sava, as a contractor, and we very quickly brought her on full-time to work on our marketing team.
With Avery I never worry about anything falling through the cracks. She is extremely well organized, has great attention to detail, and communicates well. She takes initiative to gather the information needed to perform a task, and asks clarifying questions so she can perform the task well and learn for the future. She approaches her work with curiosity and takes every opportunity to learn new skills or improve existing processes.
She’s also fantastically creative. Collaborating with her on campaign ideas, copy, photos, and graphics is a delight. She’s a great writer and designer, and the assets she created for Sava were beautiful, interesting, and always had the brand style and voice top of mind.
During our time working together she has collaborated with me on our overall marketing strategies and created her own plans for launching various initiatives, such as our affiliate program. She has been eager to learn both concrete skills – like how to set up automated email marketing campaigns – and high-level skills, such as how to create a go-to-market strategy for a new product line.
While working at Sava she’s grown as a marketer into someone who manages our affiliate program, our email marketing, our social media, our content calendar, our brand identity, and many more areas and projects. Avery is a gem to have on our team, and anyone who gets to work with her is lucky!

Avery is such a PRO!
We recently created a website for my 6 episode docuseries “The Dual.” Our shorthand communication was quickly established as we took her focused design and execution lead. The site went live with great success and served the dual purpose of letting potential viewers know about the most important aspects of the content, but also launched a non-profit foundation in concert with the series.
I can say that not only did we have a lot of fun doing the site, Avery has impeccable taste, works fast, has really smart long term vision and a great design sense. I could see any project, brand or venture in the public eye benefit from a collaboration with her.

I had the pleasure of working with and managing Avery in two different roles: first at Greenprint, and then at Sava.
At Greenprint, Avery added immense value to the company through her ongoing management of our marketing channels, research and reporting on various marketing opportunities and strategies, full ownership of our website and digital brand, and A/B testing of digital ads targeting brand awareness and site traffic.
Though I didn’t directly oversee Avery at Sava, I can say with complete confidence that every member of the executive, leadership, and management teams beams with praise of her marketing expertise, tenacious work ethic, endless curiosity, and wonderful demeanor and team spirit. In a startup environment, especially while weathering the volatility of the past several years, those who are successful are those who embrace challenges and grasp each and every opportunity for growth. Avery thrives in that environment.
Whether she was taking the initiative on her own time to get certified so that she could develop Sava’s SEO plan, or leading the launch of a white-label holiday product, or stepping into a product role to lead the UX and UI design of a new technology platform – Avery is constantly pushing and pursuing new initiatives that grow the value of the company as a whole.
