Brand Design
My approach to brand design
This is my framework for working with clients on brand design projects. Typically, these projects are part of a larger endeavor together, such as a new site build or marketing plan.
Phase I: Discovery
Let’s chat! This phase is all about seeing if we’re a good match to work together and plotting out our gameplan.
- Discovery Call: We chat over email or a call about your project, after which we identify deliverables and the scope of work.
- Deliverables: We discuss any additional related deliverables, such as web design, email marketing, etc.
Phase II: Strategy
Gather as much info about your business as possible to build our strategic foundation to make the right design choices.
- Exercise: I send you a brand questionnaire exercise to better understand your goals with the brand, anything specific you’re envisioning, etc.
- Strategy call: We’ll take a deeper look at your audience, mission, market, and competitors.
Phase III: Iteration & Implementation
This is where we turn our strategy into a reality.
- Prelim visual styling: I present a few options for typefaces and colors, which we discuss.
- Final revision: I incorporate your notes into a final round of revisions before delivery of the final Brand Style Guide.
